Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi said on Wednesday that U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s expressed support for Israel stems from his fear that the Mossad would assassinate him, just as it did President John F. Kennedy.

“We suspect he may fear being killed by Israeli agents and meet the same fate as Kennedy when he promised to look into Israel’s nuclear program,” Gadhafi said.

While the existence of Israeli nuclear weapons is widely assumed, Israeli officials have never admitted their existence and U.S. officials have stuck to that line in public.

Gadhafi saw a dark motive behind a recent speech by Obama in support of Israel. “Obama offered $300 billion in aid to Israel and more military support. He avoided talking about Israel’s nuclear weapons,” he said.

Gadhafi said Obama would have an “inferiority complex” because he is black and if elected he might “behave worse than whites.”

“We fear that Obama will feel that, because he is black with an inferiority complex, this will make him behave worse than the whites,” Gadhafi told a rally at a former U.S. military base on the outskirts of the Libyan capital Tripoli.

“This will be a tragedy,” Gadhafi said. “We tell him to be proud of himself as a black and feel that all Africa is behind him because if he sticks to this inferiority complex he will have a worse foreign policy than the whites had in the past.”

He was speaking before thousands of cheering supporters at a ceremony to celebrate the 38th anniversary of the departure of U.S. troops from Libya.

Gadhafi, known for his controversial statements, took power in 1969 in a military coup in his oil- and gas-rich North African state. He was shunned for decades by the West, which accused him of supporting terrorism.

His ties with Western countries have improved since Libya announced it was scrapping weapons of mass destruction programs in 2003 and agreed to pay compensation for families of victims of bombings of U.S. and French airliners.

The Dubai chief of police called yesterday for the arrest of Meir Dagan, the head of Mossad, if it is proved that the Israeli spy agency was behind the assassination of the Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh.

Lieutenant-General Dahi Khalfan Tamim called on Interpol, in a statement last night, to issue a red arrest notice seeking Mr Dagan’s extradition “as a killer in case Mossad is proved to be behind the crime, which is most likely now”.

An insider close to the case confirmed that Mr Dagan and Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, are top of the Gulf state’s wanted list.

“Our investigations reveal that Mossad is involved in the murder of al-Mabhouh,” General Tamim said. “It is 99 per cent, if not 100 per cent, that Mossad is standing behind the murder.”

Police in Dubai said that they would release new evidence in the coming days that proves that the assassination can be traced to the Mossad headquarters in Herzliya, a suburb north of Tel Aviv. Officials have never ruled Mossad out of their investigation but have stopped short of accusing the Israeli spy agency directly until now.

Some Israeli commentators are openly calling for Mr Dagan to resign, arguing that the diplomatic row and negative publicity generated by the assassination are unacceptable.

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) – A Mid-South funeral home is under fire after a family said it cremated the wrong body and put their loved one in another person’s casket.

When Katherine McClamrock lost her mother, Billie Sue Smith, in June, she trusted High Point Funeral Chapel to honor her mother’s wish to be cremated.

“We had no reason to believe that everything wasn’t fine until we got the call from Nashville,” McClamrock said.

The Tennessee Board of Funeral Directors told McClamrock the ashes she thought belonged to her mother were likely those of a complete stranger.

Former High Point employee Oliver Ewing told the board the funeral home mistakenly cremated a man who was to be buried.  Ewing said when he alerted his boss, he was told to “remove Billie Sue Smith’s remains from her body bag and remove any and all identification.”

“His story is that his boss told him don’t tell him anybody,” Attorney Jeff Rosenblum said.  “Let’s bury the woman in the man’s grave, let’s give the woman’s family the man’s ashes.”

Rosenblum brought a medical examiner to the grave sight marked John Hughes.  But inside the casket were the remains of Billie Sue Smith.

Smith’s loved ones are now grieving all over again.

Just before Christmas, Stephanie Willette went from being a healthy nursing student to suddenly being a helpless patient paralyzed from the neck down with a tracheotomy so she could breathe.

“They can’t prove it, but they can’t disprove it. She was perfectly fine until two weeks after her shot,” says her angry mom Karen. “I think there’s a lot more cases out there than the government’s letting on. It’s a big secret.”

According to the ministry of health, they are investigating just four reported cases of GBS in Ontario following the province’s mass inoculation of five million people.

DUBAI – A heavily armed gang of illegal alcohol “bootleggers” kidnapped two members of a rival gang, tortured them, homosexually assaulted them and buried them alive, a court heard today.

The 13 gang members appeared at Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance this morning charged with two counts of kidnap, murder and hiding bodies. Five of the men are also charged with sexual assault, and 10 with consumption of alcohol.

All 13 denied the charges, but could face the death penalty if convicted.

The court heard how the gang of 12 Indians and one Pakistani allegedly kidnapped Abu Baker Nujila and another man who has not been identified on January 1 last year and assaulted them with metal bars, pipes, sticks, swords, machetes and knives. Five of the men are then alleged to have raped the victims before the whole gang buried them in makeshift, sand covered graves.

The defendants were arrested, according to prosecution records, on January 25 after information came to light that the men’s bodies had been found buried in Jebel Ali.

And they shockingly documented their depraved foolery in photos taken as keepsakes.

Grinning mortuary technicians use corpses as props in dozens of disturbing Polaroids obtained by The Post.

Perhaps most disturbing of all is mortuary technician Kaihl Brassfield holding a severed head in a classic Heisman Trophy football pose.

“It was stupid,” Brassfield, 35, told The Post. “It was just the culture there. Everyone was doing it.”

So unless a particular brand is a top seller in its category, it’s getting knocked off the shelf — and sometimes getting replaced by a cheaper store brand.

For example, Wal-Mart recently removed Glad and Hefty-branded storage bags from shelves, replacing them with its own lower-priced Great Value brand, according to the parent companies of both products.

In the case of Hefty, parent Pactiv Corp. (PTV) told CNNMoney.com that Wal-Mart reversed its decision, and will return its products to shelves this spring — after Pactiv agreed to make the Great Value bags that will sell alongside the competing Hefty product.

(NaturalNews) As many as 50 percent of all prostate cancer diagnoses may be cases of over-diagnosis, according to a study published in the British Medical Journal.

Over-diagnosis refers to the detection of a cancer that, if left untreated, would never have any negative effects on a person’s life. This happens with cancers that grow slowly and do not spread to other organs, so that a patient dies of other causes before ever experiencing any symptoms.

Because prostate cancers tend to be very slow growing, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has recommended against screening men over the age of 74 for prostate cancer. Treatments for the disease can have severe side effects, including impotence and incontinence, and may even increase the risk of early death.

Another paper, published in the same issue of the journal, found that the prostate specific antigen (PSA) test commonly used to assess prostate cancer risk cannot reliably predict this risk in most cases.

Nearby, a man reached inside his skimpy nun’s outfit and shortly afterward emitted a sigh of relief.

Every year, the self-styled world’s biggest party in the Brazilian beach-side city brings with it the pungent perfume conjured up by thousands of beer-soaked revelers relieving themselves on the nearest wall or in gutters.

At the biggest parties, Rio’s chronic lack of public bathrooms, copious amounts of beer and the general carefree abandon of Carnival conspire to create rivers of urine that can shock the uninitiated.

City officials are now calling time on the yellow tide, which they say is a top complaint of Carnival visitors. Eager to clean up Rio’s act ahead of the 2014 soccer World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, the city is slapping public pee-ers with fines and even jail time of up to two years.

On Tuesday, the Icelandic parliament is expected to introduce a measure aimed at making the country an international center for investigative journalism publishing, by passing the strongest combination of source protection, freedom of speech, and libel-tourism prevention laws in the world.

Supporters of the proposal say the move would make Iceland an “offshore publishing center” for free speech, analogous to the offshore financial havens that allow corporations to hide capital from authorities. Could global news organizations with a home office in Reykjavík soon be as common as Delaware corporations or Cayman Islands assets?

“This is a legislative package to create a haven for freedom of expression,” Icelandic member of parliament Birgitta Jónsdóttir confirmed to me, saying that a proposal for comprehensive media law reform will be filed in parliament on Tuesday, and that whistle-blowing specialists Wikileaks has been involved in drafting it. There have been persistent hints of an Icelandic media move in recent weeks, including tweets from Wikileaks and a cryptic message from the newly created @icelandmedia Twitter account.
